Job Description:
As a Graduate Trainee in Digital Marketing & E-commerce, you will play a vital role in developing our online presence and driving sales, particularly for our technical equipment segment through social media. You'll get hands-on experience across various digital marketing functions, contribute fresh ideas, and help us connect with our target audience in innovative ways. This role is perfect for a creative and analytical individual passionate about technology and online business.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing and executing social media marketing strategies, primarily for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Create engaging and informative content (text, basic graphics, short videos) for our social media channels, showcasing our technical products.
Manage daily social media activities, including posting schedules, community engagement (responding to comments and messages).
Support the setup and monitoring of targeted social media advertising campaigns.
Help analyze social media performance and website analytics to identify trends and suggest improvements.
Contribute to Search Engine Optimization (SEO) efforts for our e-commerce website.
Assist with email marketing campaigns and customer communication.
Collaborate with the team on new product launches and promotional activities.
Stay updated with the latest digital marketing trends and tools relevant to e-commerce and the Sri Lankan market.
Requirements
A recent graduate (or awaiting graduation) with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Information Technology (IT), or a related field from a recognized Sri Lankan university.
Strong interest in digital marketing, social media, and e-commerce.
Active and knowledgeable user of major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn; YouTube/TikTok is a plus).
Basic understanding of content creation (graphic design or video editing skills are a bonus, e.g., Canva, mobile editing apps).
Good analytical skills with an eagerness to learn about data-driven marketing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Sinhala and/or Tamil is a strong advantage.
Creative mindset with the ability to generate new ideas.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
Familiarity with technical products or a strong willingness to learn about them.
Previous internship experience or personal projects in digital marketing or e-commerce will be an added advantage but are not mandatory.
