Join us in pioneering a sustainable fuel wood plantation to support green energy goals. As an Agriculture Intern, you will contribute to land preparation, soil enrichment, planting, and monitoring operations. This project also includes the scientific use of biomass boiler ash as a soil additive and aims to align with SLS 1551 standards. You will work closely with agronomists, engineers, and sustainability professionals to develop best practices for long-term success.
Responsibilities
Assist in site preparation, planting, and maintenance of the fuel wood plantation.
Participate in soil testing, analysis, and ash-based soil amendment trials.
Collect and record data for growth performance, soil health, and biomass yield.
Support documentation and fieldwork required for obtaining SLS 1551 certification.
Collaborate with internal teams on sustainability goals and reporting.
Prepare technical reports, field notes, and contribute to knowledge-sharing activities.
Engage with local stakeholders as part of community and environmental impact assessments.
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Forestry, or related field.
Strong interest in sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and agroforestry.
Willingness to work in field conditions at our Pannala site.
Good documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Basic understanding of soil science and plantation management will be an added advantage.
